Re-finishing wheels
So i have a genuine set of A! Avantgarde SLR 2 piece wheels that need a little work. The "rim guard" is pretty beat on all of them and one barrel is bent. going to see if i can get that fixed. (any body know of a good shop?) I contacted BBS (manufacture of them) and they told be to contact Avantgarde. Well i took it apon my self (after tons of reading on two piece wheels) to take one apart and peel off the chrome ring. I am thinking of changing the color but want opinions.(not black) I am woundering how santorin blue (color of the Avant) with machine lip would look or even polished lip. I was even thinking of going back oe but the only "rings" i have found were on ebay, for a jag 18"(bbs made a two piece wheel for the jag and i think the drum and ring are the same iirc), and were over $200 each.
